WHO CAN APPLY
Applications are currently being accepted for students who will be in grades 7 - 12 during the 2024-2025 school year.
​
Any 6th - 12th Grader who lives in Orangevale or attends middle or high school in Orangevale is eligible to be a member of the Orangevale Teen Council.
We are looking for students who are:

MEMBER DUTIES:
-
Create an atmosphere where teens feel safe and comfortable to express themselves and their ideas

Encourage the development of community awareness for middle school and high school issues
​​

Act as an advocate for teens in the community
​​
-
Create programs and special events that will benefit the youth & teen community
​​
-
Volunteer and donate time and resources to those in need in Orangevale
​​
-
Study problems, activities, and concerns of youth & teens, especially as they relate to programs in Orangevale
MEMBERSHIP EXPECTATIONS:
-
Attend at least 75% of monthly OTC meetings

Participate in at least 1 committee annually
​​
-
Follow through with all OTC Commitments
​​
-
Volunteer at/ attend 75% of OTC events and activities
​​
-
Help promote OTC events and activities at your school & with your friends
APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Return application with one letter of recommendation to Jenn Gustafson, OTC Advisor via email at [email protected] or email to arrange drop off of paper application.

2. Attend 2 OTC General Meetings.
​
3. Once OTC Advisor has approved your application, you will be invited to attend a 3rd General Meeting where you will officially become an OTC Member. You will be given an OTC Tshirt and be placed on a committee of your choice.
