The mission of the Orangevale Teen Council (OTC) is to provide Middle and High School students the opportunity to acquire leadership skills, develop, plan and implement events for their peers, participate in volunteer opportunities and become more involved in community planning in Orangevale.

The OTC will be made up of members striving to improve their community. Sub-committees are established to complete the goals of the council.

OUR GOALS

Identify the various needs and interests of the teenage population in Orangevale.

Provide recommendations on teen program or event ideas and make suggestions relating to teen recreation services.

Appoint appropriate sub-committees to further the work of the teen program mission and the efforts of the Teen Council.

Receive input from the teen population in Orangevale, including input from other organizations and individuals on issues, ideas and needs relevant to the teen population.

Act as a liaison for teen events, ideas & needs to businesses and private organizations.

Advocate teen issues within the entire community.

Be a channel of communication between the Community Foundation and the teen population.

Create meaningful events and opportunities for local teens to get involved.

Provide volunteer opportunities for council members within the community.
